Iraqi PM Starts Major Anti-Corruption Effort

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaid has initiated one of the nation's most significant anti-corruption campaigns in many years. This effort has resulted in the apprehension of numerous politicians and government officials. The investigation began following admissions from Adnan al-Jumaili, the former Deputy Oil Minister, who was taken into custody last month for alleged corruption. To date, authorities have confiscated almost $86 million in money connected to this inquiry.
