Iran says Ukraine called Caspian Sea vessel attack an accident
Following a Ukrainian strike on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that Kyiv has given assurances to Tehran that the incident was not deliberate. Araghchi noted that Ukraine is not looking to heighten tensions, and while Iran also wishes to avoid escalation, any aggression against its interests or people remains intolerable. In the meantime, Ukraine's foreign minister has cautioned Iran to stop providing military aid to Russia.
