Investors flock to gold ETFs even as prices hit record highs
During the April-June quarter, investments in gold ETFs surged by over two times, reaching ₹6,300 crore. Investors are increasingly looking toward these safer assets to navigate global instability and record-breaking gold prices. While total gold consumption saw a dip, demand for ETFs climbed by 49% to 4.2 tonnes. Factors like inflation worries, lower costs compared to physical gold, and the convenience of trading have driven this rise in investor interest.
