The Indian Navy has officially inducted INS Mahendragiri (F38), which is the sixth stealth frigate built indigenously under Project 17A. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the commissioning event held at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. During the ceremony, Singh noted that INS Mahendragiri is capable of handling threats from the air, surface, and underwater at the same time, and it can also carry BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles.
