Over the past 25 years, India has increased its clean energy capacity by 12 times, officially overtaking fossil fuels in 2026. According to Reuters, the nation's renewable capacity hit 338.74 GW, compared to 301.95 GW from fossil fuel sources. Commenting on this milestone, Anand Mahindra stated, "When 1.4 billion people pivot their base energy capacity toward clean power, it completely redefines energy security."
