India's first land tokenisation framework to be launched by Maharashtra: CM Fadnavis
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced the Maharashtra Digitisation and Exchange of Land Token Asset (Delta) legislation, which is set to be India's first legal framework utilizing blockchain to tokenise land and other immovable properties. He shared this update during the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai. Fadnavis noted that the land assets involved under this system could be valued at around ₹50 lakh crore.
