Indian sailor killed in Iran attack had told family his ship crossed safely

The remains of Heramb Karmarkar, a marine engineer from Pune, have been recovered following the Iranian strike on the GFS Galaxy merchant vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. His relatives shared that the sailor sent a final message stating the ship had "safely crossed the Gulf" just before the incident occurred. Communication with him ceased immediately after that update.
