Indian restaurant drops 'Clicky Ponting' cricketer following cheating controversy
Brian Devine, an English club cricketer, has had his sponsorship deal with a local Indian eatery called Spices terminated. This follows the emergence of a viral video that seemingly captures him snapping his fingers while fielding in the slips to mimic the sound of a ball hitting the bat, aiming to deceive the umpires. The Saltburn CC player, who has earned the nickname 'Clicky Ponting', has also been handed a suspension by his club. The North Yorkshire and South Durham League is currently looking into the incident.
