Indian-origin OpenAI, Anthropic employees weighing return to India: Former OpenAI researcher

Shyamal Anadkat, a former OpenAI researcher who moved back to India earlier this year to start a stealth AI venture, stated that Indian-origin staff at OpenAI and Anthropic are thinking about returning to India. He added, "In recent months...[they] have reached out [for this]." He further mentioned that India now has the ingredients to build frontier AI.
