Indian Navy warship thwarts piracy bid off Djibouti coast

The Indian Navy vessel INS Trikand intervened to stop a piracy incident involving the MV Golden Arsenal, a bulk carrier registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, located roughly 300 nautical miles east-northeast of Djibouti. All 21 crew members, which includes one Indian national, are unharmed after securing themselves inside the ship's citadel. Once a safety inspection and damage check were completed, the carrier continued its journey as part of Operation Sankalp.
