Indian Ambassador criticizes Pakistan, claims Islamabad undermined Indus Water Treaty
Vinay Mohan Kwatra, India's Ambassador to the US, stated that the Indus Water Treaty was originally established based on mutual friendship and goodwill, yet Pakistan spent 50 years working to dismantle it. Kwatra noted that India’s move to keep the agreement in abeyance simply recognizes the reality created by Pakistan's own actions. India had previously suspended the treaty following the terror attack in Pahalgam.
