India unveils 'SHANTI' strategy for UN Security Council bid

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has officially kicked off India's push for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council. He explained that the country's approach is based on the 'SHANTI' framework, which stands for Securing Holistic Advancement through Norms, Trust and Integrity. Jaishankar highlighted six key focus areas, such as amplifying the perspective of the Global South, promoting a transparent maritime environment, and protecting those working at sea.
