India unveils its first portable 'liquid tree' to tackle city air pollution
Scientists at CSIR-CIMFR have created the nation's inaugural Smart Algal Liquid Tree (SALT). This portable air-cleaning unit utilizes microalgae to capture carbon dioxide while emitting fresh oxygen. A researcher involved in the project explained that the main goal of this technology is to improve air quality in crowded urban zones where there is simply not enough space to grow traditional trees.
