India set to increase procurement of British Martlet missiles
According to reports citing UK officials, India is planning a major boost to its acquisition of the British-manufactured Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM), commonly referred to as Martlet. The total order is anticipated to reach hundreds of units, positioning India as the second-biggest buyer of these missiles, trailing only Ukraine. The original memorandum of understanding, valued at more than ₹4,100 crore, was finalized during the visit of former UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to India this past October.
