India leads in transit requests for Strait of Hormuz routes

Since June 17, India has ranked among the top nations requesting to use the Strait of Hormuz routes suggested by Iran. Regarding ships heading into the Persian Gulf, India was responsible for 21% of the total requests, followed by China with 19%. For vessels leaving the Gulf, India contributed 20% of the requests, placing it just behind China's 21%, with other Asian locations making up 29%.
