India dismisses PoK elections as a 'cosmetic exercise'
The Indian government has stated that the elections held for the Legislative Assembly in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir are merely an effort by Pakistan to mask its unlawful control and conceal serious human rights abuses in the territory. Describing the polls as a 'cosmetic electoral exercise,' the Centre reiterated that the regions currently under Pakistan's 'illegal and forcible occupation' remain inseparable and vital parts of India.
