The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the United Kingdom has officially started today. This deal removes duties on 99% of goods exported from India to the UK. Under the agreement, tariffs on processed food items drop by as much as 70%, while levies on leather and footwear are cut by 16%, and duties on textiles and clothing are reduced by nearly 12%. Additionally, the pact includes a phased reduction of tariffs for high-end vehicles imported from the UK.
