Imran Masood claims Tahir Hussain would be free if named Kapil
Following the conviction of former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain for the killing of IB employee Ankit Sharma, Congress MP Imran Masood remarked that the outcome would have been an acquittal if the accused were named Kapil rather than Tahir. BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia criticized Masood's statement, asserting that a person found guilty is a criminal regardless of their religious background. Ankit Sharma lost his life during the 2020 riots in Northeast Delhi.
