IMF cuts India's FY27 growth outlook to 6.4% due to US-Iran conflict

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reduced its growth forecast for India to 6.4%, down from the previous estimate of 6.5%, citing the intensifying conflict between the US and Iran. Conversely, the agency increased its GDP growth projection for the following fiscal year by 0.2%, bringing it to 6.7%. While the IMF anticipates global growth will rise to 3.4% in 2027, this figure is still expected to fall short of the 3.5% average seen throughout 2024 and 2025.
