IISc leverages artificial intelligence to create universal snake anti-venom
Bengaluru's IISc is utilizing AI technology to engineer anti-venoms capable of treating bites from various snake types. By examining venom data, the team aims to pinpoint shared toxin targets, which could decrease the reliance on treatments designed for specific species. This project expands on previous work by the institute, which included creating venom maps and synthetic anti-venom for the Russell's Viper, a snake responsible for many fatalities.
