ICMR: H1N1 makes up 98% of current flu infections

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) reported on Tuesday that H1N1 is responsible for 98% of the influenza infections identified in the country during the current season. Meanwhile, H3N2 accounts for just 2-3% of total cases. The council previously noted that the H1N1 virus is not a new strain and that existing vaccines continue to provide protection against it. ICMR further emphasized that there is no reason for the public to be alarmed.
