IBC resolution process continues to struggle with significant delays
According to a Moneycontrol report, the NCLT cleared 78 resolution plans valued at approximately ₹5,500 crore during the June quarter, marking its strongest opening quarter since the IBC was implemented. Senior counsel Mukesh Chand noted that over 3,000 cases are still awaiting resolution. He added that post-approval delays increase legal expenses, reduce recovery amounts, and allow non-viable businesses to persist for longer periods.
