How India's new 'hub-and-spoke' system simplifies international air travel
The central government has launched a 'hub-and-spoke' framework designed to make overseas travel more convenient for passengers throughout India. With this system, travelers taking connecting international flights can handle their check-in, immigration, and customs procedures right at their local airport (the spoke city). Additionally, this change removes the requirement for passengers to retrieve their luggage and go through the check-in process again at the transit airport (the hub city).
