How ethanol-blended fuel impacts components in older vehicles
According to an NDTV report citing the 2021 ARAI Journal of Mobility Technology, using ethanol-blended petrol in older cars, such as BS-III models, may harm fuel system parts. The use of E20 fuel can lead to increased swelling, hardening, and a reduction in the flexibility and durability of certain components. Specifically, items like gaskets, seals, pipes, O-rings, and fuel hoses are at risk of damage.
