An Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Cardholder is permitted to possess one or more foreign passports, but they are ineligible to get an Indian passport, voter/EPIC ID, or ration card. They are also required to pay taxes to the Indian government on any income they earn while staying in India. In contrast, an NRI has the right to hold an Indian passport, cast votes, and even occupy constitutional positions.
