Hormuz shipping traffic jumps 400% in a fortnight, says report
According to a Times Now report, vessel traffic passing through the Strait of Hormuz has surged by 400% over a two-week period, driven by ships utilizing a US-supported route near the coast of Oman. Data from the UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre revealed that close to 200 vessels made the crossing last week, up from 150 during the week prior and just 40 two weeks earlier. Despite this rise, the total volume of traffic is still only about 20% of what it was before the war.
