Hong Kong lifts 30-year restriction on dogs in dining venues
On the inaugural day of a fresh initiative, over 900 dining establishments across Hong Kong opened their doors to patrons accompanied by their dogs. This change marks the conclusion of a three-decade prohibition originally put in place to curb the spread of rabies. Following significant public pressure, the legislation was updated earlier this year. Currently, there are more than 400,000 pet dogs and cats living in Hong Kong.
