Home prices in India's 7 major cities jumped 59% over 5 years: Study
According to Anarock Research, residential property prices across India's seven largest cities saw a 59% increase from 2021 to 2025. This surge was primarily driven by rising building expenses, alongside influences like land prices, developer profit margins, and market supply-demand trends. During this period, the average cost of construction climbed from ₹2,681 to ₹3,604 per sq ft, while the average residential capital value went up from ₹5,826 to ₹9,260 per sq ft.
