HNGIL threatens Bira 91 with insolvency action over unpaid dues
Hindustan National Glass and Industries Ltd (HNGIL) has sent a formal notice to B9 Beverages, the parent company of Bira 91, stating it may file for insolvency at the NCLT. HNGIL claims that Bira 91 failed to clear payments for 51 lakh bottles, totaling ₹11.77 crore. The glass manufacturer has given the firm 10 days to settle the outstanding amount, failing which it will initiate legal proceedings at the National Company Law Tribunal.
