Historic 3,500-kg cannon stolen from Madhya Pradesh fort after being rolled downhill

A 400-year-old, 3,500-kg cannon was taken from the Narwar Fort in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, earlier this week. Reports suggest the thieves wrapped the heavy artillery in mattresses and transported it 3,000 feet down the hill on a trolley before putting it into a vehicle. At the time of the theft, both night-shift guards had abandoned their posts to return home.
