Historic 144-year-old Kipling Bungalow set to become an art center
The government of Maharashtra has approved a budget of ₹10 crore to restore and protect Mumbai's 144-year-old Kipling Bungalow. Built in 1882, the structure stands on the site of the original home where author and poet Rudyard Kipling was born. Plans are in place to convert the property into a cultural and art destination, featuring four galleries, an outdoor amphitheatre, and landscaped areas.
