Heavy rainfall has caused the soil supporting the UNESCO World Heritage Kalka-Shimla railway line to erode, leaving the tracks hanging in mid-air. This damage was reported at a bridge located between the Gumman and Taksal stations. Following the incident, railway authorities have suspended all train operations on the route for the day, and repair efforts are currently underway.
