The initial heatwave saw temperatures climb to approximately 35°C in west London, whereas the second heatwave pushed temperatures to 37.7°C in areas such as Lingwood and Norfolk. For comparison, the UK Health Security Agency calculated that there were 1,504 deaths linked to heat during the summer of 2025.
