Haryana police block Khanauri border to stop farmers' protest march to Delhi
On Sunday, Haryana authorities closed the Khanauri border crossing connecting the state with Punjab to prevent farmers from marching toward Delhi. Large groups of protesters from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha assembled at the border site. Their demands include a legal assurance for Minimum Support Price (MSP), opposition to planned free-trade deals, and the freedom of arrested protest leaders. The farmers were successfully held back on the Punjab side of the border.
