Gujarat reports 28 child deaths due to Chandipura virus
The Gujarat state government has reported that the number of children who have died from the Chandipura virus has reached 28, following the confirmation of six additional fatalities since August 3. With 42 confirmed cases in total, the data indicates that two out of every three infected children have passed away. Currently, there are 324 suspected cases being monitored across Gujarat and nearby districts along the Rajasthan border.
