Authorities in Surat, Gujarat, have dismantled a counterfeit desi ghee business and taken a local individual into custody for producing and distributing the tainted goods. According to police reports, the suspect combined low-cost vanaspati with soybean and palmolein oils, heating the blend and incorporating turmeric powder to achieve a traditional yellow hue. Officials have confiscated approximately 34.05 kg of the fake ghee, along with the necessary production tools and ingredients.
