Gujarat leads India's investment-friendliness rankings; Maharashtra & TN next
In the inaugural edition of NITI Aayog's Investment Friendliness Index, Gujarat secured the first position, with Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu following closely behind. The top 10 states also included Goa, Odisha, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan, while Uttarakhand emerged as the leader among the northeastern and hilly states. Furthermore, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu together draw around 85% of India's FDI inflows.
