The Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife has granted in-principle approval for a third railway line passing through the Satpura-Melghat tiger corridor. This 160.6 km rail section, which is part of the Itarsi-Nagpur expansion, will connect Jujharpur in the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh to Chichonda in the Narmadapuram district.
