Greece wildfires destroy 1.1 lakh acres in four days
Data from the National Observatory of Athens indicates that wildfires scorched more than 1,10,000 acres of land in the Attica region between July 31 and August 4, a period marked by intense heat. The figures show that 55% of the damage occurred overnight as flames moved across the area. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 12,37,645 acres have been consumed by fires throughout Europe.
