Great Indian Bustard numbers hold steady at 130, says government

According to the latest survey, the population of the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard (GIB) is estimated to be 130 (±21). These birds currently occupy roughly 16 percent of the Thar region in Rajasthan. Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav released the findings, which indicate that the GIB population has stayed largely consistent since 2017.
