Govt says it must invite everyone as Opposition walks out over rebel TMC MPs
The Central government has reacted after the entire Opposition staged a walkout from an all-party meeting to protest the invitation sent to 20 rebel TMC MPs. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju remarked, "It's the government's duty to invite everyone...NCPI (Nationalist Citizens Party of India) requested recognition from the LS Speaker...how can you ignore it." The all-party gathering was convened ahead of the upcoming Monsoon Session.
