To ensure uniform timekeeping across the country, the Centre has launched a pilot project in Bengaluru featuring the White Rabbit Technology-based IST Dissemination Network. This indigenous system aims to deliver a precise, unified time source for critical industries, including telecom, banking, and the stock market. By utilizing Precision Time Protocol technology, the network will distribute IST that is traceable to UTC (NPLI).
