Effective August 3, the government has raised the windfall profit tax on the export of diesel, petrol, and aviation turbine fuel (ATF). The levy on diesel exports has been increased to ₹24 per litre from the previous ₹15.5 per litre, while the tax on ATF exports has gone up from ₹14.5 per litre to ₹22 per litre. Additionally, the export duty on petrol has been adjusted from ₹2.5 per litre to ₹3.5 per litre.
