Government exploring ethanol as a potential cooking fuel
The Petroleum Ministry informed Parliament on Monday that the LPG Equipment Research Centre—a collaborative project between IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL—is currently evaluating the viability of ethanol for domestic cooking. The ministry noted that the facility is working on creating clean cooking solutions powered by ethanol. They further stated that this ethanol-blended fuel could eventually function as a sustainable biofuel option.
