Government asks Supreme Court to drop cases against NEET protesters before CJP rally
The federal government has approached the Supreme Court seeking the dismissal of police cases registered against students who demonstrated at Jantar Mantar regarding the NEET paper leak. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has urged the court to use its powers under Article 142 of the Constitution to quash these FIRs. This legal move follows the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) plan to hold a protest march on September 5 to highlight the government's failure to meet its commitments.
