Google DeepMind hires Thinking Machines Lab co-founder Barret Zoph
Barret Zoph, who co-founded the AI startup Thinking Machines Lab alongside Mira Murati, has been appointed as Vice President of Research at Google DeepMind. Zoph’s professional journey in AI started at Google Brain in 2016. He later served as Vice President of Research at OpenAI for a two-year period. Following his departure from Thinking Machines earlier this year, he had a short stint back at OpenAI before moving to his current role at DeepMind.
