Goa nightclub owners aware emergency exit was locked during fatal fire
A chargesheet has revealed that Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, the owners of the Goa club Birch by Romeo Lane, were aware that the emergency exit was locked at the time of the fire that claimed 25 lives last year. The document noted that leaving the western exit unlocked could have allowed for a safe evacuation. Shortly after the incident, the brothers escaped to Thailand but were eventually deported back to India.
