Goa CM calls Tejpal's rape conviction a win for justice
Following the Bombay High Court's decision on Thursday to convict Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal for rape, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant described the ruling as a "victory for justice." Sawant stated, "This incident occurred in Goa... it was the duty of the Goa government and police to pursue the matter steadily... I salute the survivor for her bravery." Tejpal received a 10-year prison sentence for the sexual assault of a junior colleague.
