Goa adopts Nisargruna technology to turn waste into organic fertilizer

Goa has launched the Nisargruna Rapid Composting Technology project in Bicholim, aiming to transform wet biodegradable waste into organic manure that is free of bad odours. This system was developed for the state government by waste management specialist Sharad Kale. Kale notes that the process can turn one metric tonne of biodegradable waste into 150 to 160 kg of organic fertilizer in just 24 to 48 hours.
