Germany criticizes EU proposal to restrict trade with West Bank Israeli settlers
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has spoken out against the European Union's intention to block trade with Israeli settlers living in the West Bank. He argued that this matter ought to be handled via direct dialogue with the Israeli administration rather than by imposing trade barriers. Wadephul added, "We have a clear position on settlement policy, it's inconsistent with international law. I made this clear during my visit to Israel."
